Leading artist and choreographer with the Royal New Zealand Ballet. He finalised his training at the New Zealand School of Dance; Joined the Royal New Zealand Ballet in 2010. Loughlan’s professional performance career has consisted Solo and Principal roles in the classical and contemporary repertoire across New Zealand, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Great Britain, Italy, France and the United States.  Career highlights include Lysander in Liam Scarlett’s A Midsummer Nights Dream, Alexander Ekman’s Cacti, William Forsythe’s In the Middle Somewhat Elevated, Jiri Kylian’s Soldiers Mass, Larry Kegwin’s Mattress Suite, Javier De Frutos’ Banderillero, Cameron McMillan’s Satisfied withGreat Success, Sarah Foster’s Crossed Fingers, Garry Stewart’s C.U.I and Mark Baldwin’s Charliepas de deux.  Awarded the inaugural Harry Haythorne Choreographic Award for  his innovative work EVE in 2015.
