Nicole O’Shea
1982 - 1987
Diploma of Dance with distinction from WAAPA (88-90), finishing top of her class. Received the Dame Peggy Van Prague award at WAAPA for excellence. Guest artist and full time employment with WA ballet company, and then joined Sydney Dance Company in 1991, at the time being the youngest dancer in the company. From 93-96 I danced with Stella Opern Hamburg, Germany. I was a guest dancer with Ballet Gulbenkian also in 1996. Leading dancer and resident choreograoher for 3 productions of Phantom of the Opera in Europe (2 in Germany and 1 in Antwerp, Belgium spanning 6 years) Worked as a dancer and assistant director for Opera Queensland on many productions including Graeme Murphys “Turandot”, Moffatt Oxenbould’s “Madama Butterfly”, Nabuco, Lucia di Lammermoor. With Opera Australia she has been a dancer in Madama Butterfly and Dance Captain and dancer in Graeme Murphys “Turandot”.
