Seven minutes after midnight. A dead dog. A boy standing over it.
Christopher Boone is fifteen years old. He knows every prime number up to 7,057. He understands the logic of mathematics and the silence of outer space, but he finds the human world—with its metaphors, lies, and “too-loud” noises—an impossible puzzle. When he is wrongly accused of killing his neighbor’s dog, Christopher decides to channel his hero, Sherlock Holmes, to find the real culprit.
What begins as a suburban detective story quickly spirals into a breathtaking odyssey. To solve the mystery, Christopher must break every rule he lives by, venturing far beyond the safety of his street and into a sensory-defying journey that will change his life—and his family—forever.
Through his eyes, we experience a world of overwhelming patterns and hidden secrets. Prepare to see the world differently.
