Across Term 1, Year 11 Visual Arts students studied oil painting with landscape painter Mia Schoen. Working en plein air (outdoors), each image is a record of the painter’s experience in dealing with the session’s often -shifting weather and lighting conditions. These works were exhibited in the Kolarik gallery and VCASS Café. The title of this exhibition, Recharge the Brush comes from the students’ affection for Schoen’s description of the act of reloading the paintbrush with pigment during the process of painting.
