Year 12 Visual Art student Olive has been selected as a finalist in the prestigious Young Archies award for her drawing titled Selfie. The Young Archies is an annual young artist prize that coincides with the Archibald Prize in NSW. Olive’s work “explores the idea of camera distortion and the integration of technology with our personal identity. The cameras on our phones warp our features, leading to a disconnect between how we look in real life and how we see ourselves presented digitally.”
