2024 SHAW PROGRAM

Senior Health and Wellbeing (SHAW) 2024 was a resounding success. Students had opportunities to mix and interact outside of their specialisms, get to know each other better, tackle some hard-hitting topics, as well as having fun. We had guest speakers such as Chris Cheers to talk to us about wellbeing in the arts, as well as a range of other guests and artists running events. A highlight for the year 10s was ‘Dance with Keely’ where everyone had a great time dancing to Kylie Minogue’s ‘Padam’. The year 11s challenged themselves with the Urban Quest ‘Amazing Race, as well as the annual VCASS Olympics. A highlight for the 12s was a bowling session at King Pin, as well as games in the adjoining arcade. While these activities and experiences brought the students closer together, a real highlight for the school was the massive collaborative artwork led by Robert Lee Davis. Students expressed themselves by filling, and painting, Illawarra flametree seedpods, which have been combined into an impressive installation in the Kolarik Atrium.
