THE MASTER & MARGARITA

At the beginning of 2021 the VCASS original devised production of The Master and Margarita started off with great expectations. We worked from February to August this year up until just three days before our scheduled performance at the MTC Lawler Theatre. However, our year 12 Theatre Arts students were given wonderful opportunities in their acting classes to focus on the intensive creative process. Such as creating and building their own characters; devising solo and ensemble scenes and choreographing dynamic dance pieces, which resulted in their own original play-script of Mikhail Bulgakov’s classic, The Master and Margarita. Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions the play was not staged. However, the incredible journey and learning experience our students engaged in was both memorable and uplifting.
